La Porte County Broadcasting receives U.S. Bankruptcy Court approval to sell the assets of their Oldies/WLOI (1540am, La Porte) and Country/WCOE-FM (96.7fm, La Porte). To Spoon River Media, LLC. Brent Lee and Matt Moore own Spoon River Media, which owns an FM in Cuba, Illinois (40 miles southwest of Peoria). The $237,000 sale price includes the tower site ("Eagle 96.7" has their antenna on WLOI's tower). Of note, there's also an application for an FM translator for WLOI on 106.5fm. Finally, WLOI runs 250 watts (daytime only), while WCOE is a Class A (3000 watts at 262.5 feet, horizontal polarization only).

Ms. Moody recently married and will return to Evansville, this time as a morning anchor for CBS and FOX affiliates WEVV-TV (CBS on 44.1, FOX on 44.2). Ms. Moody will begin at "44News" in May.
