La Porte County Broadcasting receives U.S. Bankruptcy Court approval to sell the assets of their Oldies/WLOI (1540am, La Porte) and Country/WCOE-FM (96.7fm, La Porte). To Spoon River Media, LLC. Brent Lee and Matt Moore own Spoon River Media, which owns an FM in Cuba, Illinois (40 miles southwest of Peoria). The $237,000 sale price includes the tower site ("Eagle 96.7" has their antenna on WLOI's tower). Of note, there's also an application for an FM translator for WLOI on 106.5fm. Finally, WLOI runs 250 watts (daytime only), while WCOE is a Class A (3000 watts at 262.5 feet, horizontal polarization only).

Jenny Dreasler joins the reporter ranks at Nexstar's CW affiliate/WISH-TV (Channel 8, Indianapolis). Ms. Dreasler last worked in Quincy, Illinois, as the weekday morning news anchor for KHQA-TV.

White River Broadcasting's Hot AC/WINN-FM (104.9fm, Columbus) replaces "Open House Party" on Saturday evenings with "Most Requested Live" (7:00pm until Midnight). "Open House Party" continues airing on Sunday evenings at 7:00pm on "Win 104.9."

For nearly four years, Kayla Moody was a reporter and weekend anchor for Nexstar's ABC affiliate WEHT-TV (Channel 25, Evansville) and Mission Broadcasting's CW affiliate WTVW (Channel 7, Evansville). In April 2015, Ms. Moody left Evansville and went to Louisville, Kentucky, where she anchored and reported for WHAS-TV. Ms. Moody recently married and will return to Evansville, this time as a morning anchor for CBS and FOX affiliates WEVV-TV (CBS on 44.1, FOX on 44.2). Ms. Moody will begin at "44News" in May.

That's all for this issue. Thank you for your continued support.
