At Forcht Broadcasting in Crawfordsville, OM Phil Thompson exits. Forcht promotes APD/Production Manager Brad Pendleton to PD.
Star City Broadcasting names Billy Huggins as GM of their Lafayette cluster. Mr. Huggins worked for Star City owners Mike Reed and Bill Christian at their WPDE in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for 8 years, becoming WPDE's GM. In addition to being the GM of radio and TV stations, Mr. Huggins will also be the corporate Director of Sales for Waypoint Media, the management group that operates Star City Broadcasting and other broadcasting entities.
Central
The nationally syndicated "Bob and Tom Show" inks a multiple year contract extension. The show originates from studios in Indianapolis, using part of the building that houses the iHeart/Indianapolis radio stations. Their flagship station is iHeart's Classic Rock/WFBQ (94.7fm, Indianapolis), and it's also heard on 8 radio stations statewide, and more than 100 radio stations nationwide, through Westwood One. Bob Kevoian and Tom Griswold started the show on March 7, 1983 at WFBQ/"Q95". Mr. Kevoian retired in December 2015.
Where Are They Now? Former WNOW-FM PD Brandon "Buster" Satterfield joins WFLZ/Tampa as APD.
Southeast
Where Are They Now? Former WGZB (96.5fm, Lanesville) PD Al Payne becomes PD for KMJK in the Kansas City market.
