After a stunt format which included a mention of the former owner's sports format by having an umpire say "You're out," Swick Broadcasting Company launched WFGA (106.7fm, Hicksville) Friday morning at 6:00AM as a Classic Country station "Real Country 106.7." Here's the airstaff lineup:

Mornings: Jeff DeWeese (6am until 10am)
Middays: Jonathon Steele (10am until 3pm)
Afternoons: John Glenn (3pm until 8pm)
Nights: John Gleason (8pm until Midnight)
Overnights: Paul Walker (Midnight until 6am)

We remember Justin Geise ("Alibi"), former night guy at what was Rhythmic CHR/"Wild 96.3" (it's now WXKE 96.3fm, Churubusco). Mr. Geise passed away last Sunday at age 37.

Where Are They Now? Former WOWO/WKJG PD Gregg Henson joins Entercom and will program their legendary WRVA (and an FM translator), along with sister Sports/WRNL in Richmond, Virginia.

Update: For $2.4 million, Talking Stick Communications sells their Warsaw portfolio of radio stations to Kensington Digital Media of Indiana. Tony Richards and Jack Didier lead Kensington. The Warsaw radio stations include:

News/WRSW(AM) and translator W259BJ (1480am, 99.7fm, both Warsaw)
Classic Hits/WRSW-FM (107.3fm, Warsaw)
Country/WAWC (103.5fm, Syracuse)

Mid-West Family Broadcasting's CHR/WQLQ (99.9fm, Benton Harbor, Michigan) welcomes Alexandra Wurst ("Ayeeedubb") for nights (6pm until 10pm). Ms. Wurst last worked in Charlotte, North Carolina at WGIV ("Streetz 103.3 and 100.5. Charlotte's New Hip-Hop Station.")

That's all for this issue. Thank you for your continued support.
