In a story you'll first read here, Anderson University's WQME (98.7fm, Anderson) flipped format this morning just before 9:00AM to Educational Media Foundation's Contemporary Christian "Air 1" format. No sale documents filed yet with the FCC.

It was 1981 when PD Rick Cummings programmed what was then AC/WENS (97.1fm, Shelbyville), and he hired a new DJ named Bernie Eagan. Mr. Eagan debuted behind the microphone on "Lite Rock 97.1" a week after that format flip. In 2002, Mr. Eagen moved within owner Emmis Communications and started in mornings at Soft AC/WYXB (105.7fm, Indianapolis). Since then, he's moved to afternoon from 4pm until 8pm. Yesterday, Mr. Eagan announced he's retiring and his last day on the air will be Friday July 20.
That's all for this issue. Thank you for your continued support.
