Good Morning, and Welcome to October.

Newhoff Media/Lafayette hires Matt Moore as GSM for Sports/WASK (1450am, Lafayette), Classic Hits/WASK-FM (98.7fm, Battle Ground) and Country/WKOA (105.3fm, Lafayette). Mr. Moore last worked for Entercom in Indianapolis as a regional account manager.

Central

iHeartMedia's Country/WUBG (98.3fm, Plainfield) begins a stunt format, which promotes a format change at Noon today. While we've heard from several sources what it will be, we'll follow up with more in Thursday's IRW. Meanwhile, here's some background:

In March 2003, ABC Radio purchased 98.3fm, Plainfield for $5.75 million, to become part of their "Radio Disney" brand. Last year, Radio Disney sold 98.3fm, Plainfield for $1.95 million to iHeartMedia. iHeartMedia flipped the format to Country ("Big 98.3") on July 17, 2015 at 4:00pm, to compete in-format with Cumulus' Country/WFMS (95.5fm, Fishers) and Emmis Communications' Country/WLHK (97.1fm, Shelbyville).

Next week, Radio One's CHR/WNOW-FM (100.9fm, Speedway) will roll out of a new morning show: Joe Pesh and Alex Clark ("The Big Joe & Alex Show"). Mr. Pesh last hosted mornings at Midwest Communications' CHR/WSTO (96.1fm, Owensboro, Kentucky). Ms. Clark last worked as Music Director (MD) and co-hosted mornings at WDJX in Louisville, Kentucky. "Myk" will produce the show (Myk last worked in Portland, Oregon at KBFF.)

Westcentral
