Station History

1270am signed on December 7, 1949. Calls mean Working With the Calumet Area. Moved City of License from East Chicago to Gary sometime in the late 1990's. WWCA signed off in January, 2002. In 2003, Willis Broadcasting Corp. sold the station to Starboard Network for $1.5 million. WWCA signed back on with Starboard Network's "Relevant Radio" format on or around November 25, 2003.
