Station History

96.1fm signed on June 7, 1948. Formerly a beautiful music format. WSTO signed on as a CHR on May 1, 1982 with "65 Love Affair" by Paul Davis. In September 2002, Brill Media Company, LLC sold WSTO to South Central Communications Corp. for $13 million. In May 2014, South Central Communications Corp. sold all of their radio stations, including WSTO, for $72 million to Midwest Communications, Inc.
