WFIW-FM signed on August 18, 1965. The WFIW call letters stand for Fairfield-Illinois-Wayne. Formerly a Soft AC station (Satellite format: Jones Satellite Network ("Soft Hits")). Formerly owned by Wayne County Broadcasting Co., which sold WFIW-FM and its two sister stations in July 2012 for $962,767 to The Original Company, Inc.
