Artistic Media Partners' Standards/WSHI (106.3fm, Columbia City) completes its annual run of all-Christmas music (mostly via Westwood One syndicated programming) and flips format to AC, as of 6am Monday morning (12/29). WSHI will retain calls and moniker ("Sunny 106"), but is now "The Brighter Side of Music." Kenny Edwards remains OM/PD and the on air lineup is now:

Mornings: Bob & Sheri (debut*)
Middays: Misty Dawn (unchanged)
Afternoons: Ron Gregory (unchanged)
Nights: Mark Alexander

* Bob & Sheri last appeared on this frequency (then WDJB) from September 25, 1996 (as part of a format flip from CHR to Modern AC) to April, 1997, when WDJB was sold, and the format changed to standards.

Where Are They Now? Former N-T/WOWO (1190am, Fort Wayne) GM Jane Bartsch is now GM at WJBR in Wilmington, Delaware.

Northwest

The auction of N-T/WJOB (1230am, Hammond) and N-T/WIMS (1420am, Michigan City) has been delayed by a judge for 60 days to allow advertising of the sale. Bids will now be accepted through 30 January 2004 and the winner announced on 18 February 2004.

Central

Thanks to IRW reader Keith Maddox for this tip: Today, veteran Alternative/WRZX (103.3fm, Indianapolis) afternoon DJ Adam Ritz (real name: Robert Adam Ritz) was arrested on a preliminary charge of rape. Tom Spalding's article on The Indianapolis Star website says that the arrest resulted from a complaint by a 22 year old caregiver to Ritz's children. Ritz was on vacation today from WRZX and is scheduled to host a New Year's party at a local club tomorrow night. No word on if he will host the event. Clear Channel Radio executives gave no comment to The Indianapolis Star, saying they were unaware of Ritz's arrest, and they gave no indication if Ritz would be hosting tomorrow night's event.

Where Are They Now? Former CHR/WNOU (93.1fm, Indianapolis) MD/midday lady Jana Sutter is now PD at WZNY in Augusta, Georgia.

Southeast

R&R Online reports that Earl Jones, VP/Market Manager of Clear Channel's Louisville cluster add responsibilities as Regional VP for the company's Kentucky stations.

Southwest

As tipped to us by an IRW reader: After flipping to Christmas music from before Thanksgiving through December, Classic Rock/WYXY (107.1fm, Boonville) stuns Evansville by changing formats to Contemporary Christian.

As The Rick Dees in the Morning show is ending syndication through Clear Channel's Premiere Radio Networks, Clear Channel station CHR/WDKS (106.1fm, Newburgh/Evansville) replaces Dees with sister Clear Channel KUBE (Seattle, Washington) morning man T-Man ("The T-Man Show").

Happy New Year!
