My apologies for the mistakes in yesterday's IRW. I meant to wish a Happy Birthday to WLAB (88.3fm, Fort Wayne) and mistakenly mentioned WBCL (90.3fm, Fort Wayne).

On January 9 in Indiana Radio History:

In 1995, Bob and Tom debut on their first network affiliate: WFWI (92.3fm, Fort Wayne)

In 1998, legendary Fort Wayne broadcaster Tom Williams passes away.

In 2010, former WOWO News Director Gary Froseth passes away.

On January 10 in Indiana Radio History: In 1975, 107.1fm in Danville signs on. Today, it's WEDJ.

On January 11 in Indiana Radio History: In 1989, WBYR (98.9fm) signed on with a classic hits format, and Fort Wayne stop signs were never the same again.
