Jeffersonville High School signs on its low-power WJHI-LP (98.5fm, Jeffersonville) from the Ted Throckmorton Studios at Johnson Arena at the high school. The station signed on Saturday 16 January at 1:15PM, and first played the 1971 one-hit wonder "Timothy" by The Buoys. Tim Dench designed the studios, which the school dedicated in memory of Mr. Throckmorton, the radio voice of Jeffersonville High School from 1962 until he died last year. The $4 million project will also include a separate LPFM radio station at Charlestown High School. Jeffersonville High School also has a TV station which has new 4K TV equipment.

New Albany Broadcasting purchases W270CR (101.9fm, Okolona, Kentucky) from Celebration Ministries. New Albany Broadcasting estimates they will spend $75,000 to move the translator from the tower of WFPK-FM (91.9fm, Louisville, Kentucky) to rebroadcast Regional Mexican/WNDA (1570am, New Albany). New Albany Broadcasting earned a CP to move the translator, via a Mattoon waiver. (What's that?)
