June 2002: Afternoon guy Brian Michaels and production director/morning man Guy Forrest swap shifts at Country/WBTU (93.3fm, Kendallville).

July 2002: Urban/WJFX (107.9fm, New Haven) Midday/Production Director "Slammin" Sammy Suarez exits for MD/nights at KBOS in Fresno, California.

November 2002: A note from the TV files, as NBC affiliate WKJG-TV (Channel 33, Fort Wayne) is sold by Joseph Cloutier's Corporation for General Trade to Arlington Capital Partners' portfolio company New Vision Group. New Vision, headed by Jason Elkin, completed the $20 million sale completed on 10 January. Also, before we leave "NBC 33," we noticed in Electronic Media that they have purchased news sets on eBay from KCBS-TV/KCAL-TV in Los Angeles.

December 2002: Dave Macy exits as morning host at N-T/WOWO (1190am, Fort Wayne).

January 2003: Michael O'Shea exits as News Director at N-T/WOWO (1190am, Fort Wayne). WOWO Farm Director Kevin Morse tacks on Interim News Director duties.

Northcentral

July 2002: Morning co-hosts Mike Shannon and Deb Millard at Oldies/WGTO (910am, Cassopolis, Michigan/South Bend) exit for Oldies/WQRK (105.5fm, Bedford), near Bloomington. There, they continue to co-host, and Shannon is PD. Also, married in January 2003. Congratulations!

Northwest

September 2002: Standards/WAZY(AM) (1410am, Lafayette) flips calls to WLAS. Their standards format remains. Also, a new website debuts at http://www.artisticradio.com/wlas.

Fall 2002: Justin Kaiser is now PD/mornings at Country/WLFF (95.3fm, Brookston). Also, former PD Mike Warner moves to afternoons and Dan Somers voicetracks evenings.

January 2003: Changes at Hot AC/WAZY (96.5fm, Lafayette): Zak Tyler segues from evenings to afternoons and is promoted to Music Director. PD J.J. Davis segues from afternoons to mornings since Bob Richards exited. Weekender Marci takes nights in the interim.

January 2003: Standards/WLAS (1410am, Lafayette) flips format to a simulcast of sister Country/WLFF (95.3fm, Brookston). WLFF changes imaging from "Maximum Country" to "The New Wolf Country 95.3, Lafayette's 20-in-a-row station."

February 2003: Oldies/WRIN (1560am, Rensselaer) names Jerry Stifle as APD.

Central

July 2002: Angel "Cuba" Chacon is now Director of Operations for Spanish stations WSYW(AM)/WEDJ-FM (810am, Indianapolis; 107.1fm, Danville). He replaces Ed Weigle who joins Nick Sommers Productions.

Southcentral

August 2002: Where Are They Now? Former WGCL/WTTS (1370am, 92.3fm, Both Bloomington) GSM Jeff Weber is now Executive Vice President at The Business TalkRadio Network.

Southwest

September 2002: Standards/WQTY (93.3fm, Linton) flips format to soft AC under PD Brad Deetz.

February 2003: N-T/WGAB (1180am, Newburgh) is for sale on eBay.
