In September 2013, we wrote this:
"Inter Mirfica, Inc. completes its LMA for Religious/WSPM (89.1fm, Cloverdale) with Bill Shirk and Bill Mays (Hoosier Broadcasting Corp.). That deal began in 2004 when Inter Mirfica began its "Catholic Radio Indy" broadcasting. The purchase option price was $2.25 million. Non-profit Inter Mirifica also owns WSQM (90.9fm, Noblesville) which simulcasts WSPM. Finally, Ed Roehling of Roehling Broadcast Services, Ltd. was the broker on this deal."
Here's an update: Yesterday, the FCC announced a consent decree, which results in a $50,000 payment to the FCC. The FCC said that Inter Mirfica can't pay more in LMA fees than it actually costs Hoosier Broadcasting Corporation to operate WSPM. While the FCC has no problems with a non-commercial licensee making a profit off the sale of a station, the FCC has a problem with an LMA or TBA (Time Brokerage Agreement) that results in profit for the licensee. Read the entire FCC decision and Washington, DC lawyer David Oxenford's comments.
Creative Data Management's Talk simulcast WXLW (950am, Indianapolis) and Pilgrim Communications' WFDM-FM (95.9fm, Franklin) adds the 5am hour of TRN's America's Morning News with Matt Ray, so it now airs until 7am. Also, America's First News with Gordon Deal is on now from 7am until 9am. Yesterday, Freedom 95 added "Indiana's Weatherman" Paul Poteet to its airwaves.
New call letters for LPFM Construction Permits: Mark down WEWP-LP (92.7fm, Indianapolis).
Adams Radio Group's Country/WBTU (93.3fm, Kendallville) adds the United Stations Radio Networks syndicated show "Red Cup Country."
Where Are They Now? Former WISH-TV News Director Patti McGettigan will soon become the news director at WHBQ-TV in Memphis, Tennessee.

In 2013, Don Moore passed away. Mr. Moore owned Kendallville's WAWK(AM) and FM translator.
