AOR/WXKE (103.9fm, Fort Wayne) PD Rick West adds MD duties.

Country/WBTU (93.3fm, Kendallville) PD Kevin "Crash" Davis exits over philosophical differences. GM Dick Young takes PD duties in the interim.

IRW sends out best wishes to Country/WBTU (93.3fm, Kendallville) morning co-host Dane Daniels, who is recovering from surgery.

High school station WCYT (91.1fm, Lafayette Township) has applied for a power increase from 120 watts to 720 watts.

Northcentral

CHR/WNDU (92.9fm, South Bend) morning man Buzz Elliott exits the station.

W291AM will begin broadcasting soon, from the Indiana University regional campus in Kokomo. W291AM (106.1fm, Kokomo) will simulcast WFIU (103.7fm, Bloomington).

Religious/WAII (93.7fm, Walton) adds a translator in Marion: W299AJ on 107.7fm.

Pensacola Christian College applies for a translator on 88.7fm in Warsaw.

Northwest

Religious/WAZY(AM) (1410am, Lafayette) switches to News-Talk.

The American Family Association has applied for translators on 88.5fm in Michigan City (1000 watts), 91.1fm in Valparaiso (150 watts), and 89.1fm in Lowell (1500 watts).

Eastcentral

The WBST (92.1fm, Muncie) network adds WBSJ (91.7fm, Portland).

Central

Steve Smith is upped from Director of Programming to VP/Programming for all of Emmis' Indianapolis stations.

Bob & Tom, syndicated from AOR/WFBQ (94.7fm, Indianapolis) adds 4 more stations, giving them 49 stations in 45 markets.

The Greenfield School Corporation has applied for a station on 89.7fm with 2000 watts.

Religious/WGNR (1470am, 97.9fm; both Anderson) gain FCC approval for non-commercial classification of their station. They're now owned by the Moody Bible Institute.

Congrats to NAB Crystal Awards winners WIBC (1070am, Indianapolis) and WKVI (1520am, 99.3fm, both Knox).

Westcentral

CHR/WMGI (100.7fm, Terre Haute) MD & morning guy David Day exits for MD & middays at WJDQ in Meridian, Mississippi. PD Rich O'Brien segues from afternoons to mornings, while night guy Steve Smith moves up to afternoons and adds MD duties, and Chad Edwards moves from overnights to nights. Finally, Matt Luecking joins for overnights, from same at crosstown Hot AC/WCBH (104.3fm, Casey, Illinois). Replacing Luecking at WCBH is "Crash Davis" (note: not the same "Crash Davis" in the WBTU story above.)

Southeast

WLVX (104.3fm, Charlestown) flips calls to WBLO and changes format to Urban, under new PD Bill Price. Price arrives from Urban/WLSY (94.7fm, New Albany).

WKRP(AM) & WINN-FM (1460am, 106.1fm; North Vernon) and WRBI-FM (103.9fm, Batesville) are sold by ARS Broadcasting to the Findlay Publishing Company, owners of WCSI(AM) & WKKG-FM in Columbus, along with three Ohio stations.

WAVG (1450am, Jeffersonville) along with WZZB(AM) & WQKC-FM (1390am, 93.7fm; both Seymour) are sold by Corum Enterprises for $134,200, to Sunnyside Communications.

Southcentral

Former Hot AC/WBWB (96.7fm, Bloomington) GSM John McGue departs for the Queen City (Cincinnati) where he'll do sales at WSAI.

Southwest

Country/WYNG (105.3fm, Evansville) is sold by Pinnacle Broadcasting to Connoisseur Communications for $6 million. Star Media Group brokered the transaction.
