From the Email Inbox: "I was going thru my Grandfathers things, and found a Zippo light that I was told was given to him by the station manager of WTHR but it has the 6 on it (my grandmother does not know the station manager name at the time) but it look like from the Zippo code that I have done research on the lighter was made in the early 1970's. Is there a way anybody would know who the station manager was at the time?"

If you know, please send us an e-mail.

Also breaking today, Representative Todd Young (Republican, Indiana's ninth district) supports the FM Chip in cell phones and recently wrote a letter to the CTIA The Wireless Association (Cellular Telephone Industry Association) which you can read on the NAB's website. Representative Young cited the 2 March 2012 Henryville EF-4 tornadoes as one reason for needing an FM chip in these devices.

Northeast

Northeast Indiana Public Radio's Talk-Jazz/WBOI (89.1fm, Fort Wayne) does a programming swap between "The TED Radio Hour" (Wednesday at 8pm) and the locally produced "WBOI Presents" (Wednesday at 7pm).

Northcentral

Federated Media's Rock/WRBR (103.9fm, South Bend) fills the night position, after the untimely October 2012 death of "Reverend Ryno." Proof that you can return home, if your name is "Maximus," Rock 103.9 returns "Maximus" to the airwaves in the evening, along with naming him Social Media Director. Mr. Maximus once did middays on WRBR.

Where Are They Now? Former WNIT-TV (Channel 34, South Bend) president and GM Mary Pruess will join WQPT-TV in the Quad Cities (Western Illinois University) next Monday.

Northwest

Johnny Rush exits as PD for Gerard Media LLC's Talk WIMS (1420am, Michigan City). Mike Paine replaces Mr. Rush in the PD chair (promoted from APD). Also, Mary Gigliotti is the new Director of Sales and Marketing.

Eastcentral

We missed this story when it originally happened, but there's sad news to report. Thirty years ago, Kevin Scott went to Pendleton Heights High School with a girl named Melinda (To make this radio-relevant, WEEM had been on the air for ten years by this point).

Melinda was Kevin's high school sweetheart. Fast forward thirty years to 2011: Mr. Scott is the Chief Engineer at KSWD in Los Angeles, California. Melinda is in the Army Reserves. Their relationship rekindled online (Thank you, Facebook). Sadly, doctors diagnosed Mr. Scott with Stage 4 prostate cancer in 2010. Kevin and Melinda were married at the radio station on 17 November 2011. Prostate cancer claimed Kevin's life in early February. Before Kevin died, he worked on building a radio station studio; that studio will be named "The Kevin Scott Studio." Central

Where Are They Now (Part 1)? Former WRZX morning host Gonzo Greg recently exited morning drive at KVGS in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Where Are They Now (Part 2)? Former (then 93.1fm) WNOU middayer Mysti Cox now handles afternoons (as "Misty Jordan") at KDUV-FM in Visalia, California (with a translator in Bakersfield).

Where Are They Now (Part 3)? Former WISH-TV Executive Producer Mike Lopez is now News Director at WEAU-TV in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

Southcentral

White River Broadcasting's CHR/WINN (104.9fm, Columbus) adds "Open House Party" on Saturday evenings from 7pm until 12am.
