In a story you'll first read here, WYLJ (107.5fm, Terre Haute) began testing their signal. An IRW reader said they're airing religious programming, including a program from 3ABN (Three Angels Broadcasting). The FCC silenced 107.5fm along with the other Contemporary Media/Terre Haute frequencies in early October 2001.

Heartland Media's FOX Affiliate/WFFT-TV (Channel 55, Fort Wayne) welcomes Sports Director Justin Prince. Mr. Prince last worked with Lakeland Public TV ("LPTV") in Bemidji, Minnesota as their Sports Director.

Weigel Broadcasting's ABC affiliate/WBND-LD (Channel 57, South Bend) promotes News Director Aaron Ramey to GM. Mr. Ramey became News Director when "ABC 57" started up their local newsroom in late 2010 and early 2011.
Mid-West Family Broadcasting/South Bend Production Director Stan Marks will soon be leaving.

IRW extends our best wishes to meteorologist Randy Ollis at Nexstar Broadcasting's CW affiliate/WISH-TV (Channel 8, Indianapolis) after he recently announced he's battling cancer. And, viewers responded.
Southcentral
Earlier this week, Mike King retired as GM at Reising Radio Partners/Columbus. Mr. King joined Reising in January 1986 as OM, and served about 20 years as GM.
