Northeast
Alternative/WCYT (91.1fm, Lafayette Township) is expected to return to the air this coming week. Transmitter woes have silenced the station since late March. Station officials tell us that plans are in place to begin broadcasting 24
hours a day and commence an Internet feed.
A petition to deny was filed over Family Worship Center (a.k.a. Jimmy Swaggart)'s translator application on 89.7fm in Bluffton.
A correction: Matt Goshert only is the Webmaster for Alternative/WEJE (96.3fm, Churubusco) (he is also doing mid-days in the interim - that was correct). Also, Travis Meyer does both morning show producer and production director
duties.
Northwest
Lafayette news: Pensacola Christian College (a.k.a. WPCS/Pensacola, Florida) applies for 88.5fm in Klondike.
Central
Susquehanna Market Manager Monte Maupin-Gerard exits. Maupin-Gerard oversaw Country/WFMS (95.5fm, Indianapolis), Oldies/WGLD (104.5fm, Indianapolis), and Country/WGRL (93.9fm, Noblesville). Replacing Maupin-Gerard in an Acting role
is Charlie Morgan, VP/GM of WGLD.
Where are they now? Former CHR/WZPL (99.5fm, Greenfield/Indianapolis) night guy Rob Blair is now a news anchor at FOX affiliate KCBA-TV (Channel 35, Monterey, California). According to AllAccess, Blair anchors the 10pm news.
Southeast
Louisville news: A petition to deny was filed over Pensacola Christian College's translator application on 89.7fm in Oak Park.
Southcentral
A petition to deny was filed over Family Worship Center (a.k.a. Jimmy Swaggart)'s translator application on 90.9fm in Paoli.
Dave Crooks is now GM at Gospel/WAMW(AM) and Soft AC/WYER-FM (1580am, 107.9fm, both Washington). Crooks was formerly co-owner of Country/WWBL (106.5fm, Washington).
That's it for this issue! See you in two weeks...
