Chad Silvieus, half of the "Extreme Morning Sickness" show on Alternative/WEJE (96.3fm, Churubusco) exits. Morning producer Buster Meyer joins PD J.J. Fabini on the air, in the interim.
From the Accuracy Department: We noted in our 3 June 2000 issue that Dick McBroom's Maumee Valley Broadcasting has a CP for a 93.9fm in Van Wert, Ohio. We noticed in the FCC filings that it's been sold (along
with his other stations, we believe in a separate transaction [WNDH, WONW, and WZOM]), to Clear Channel.
Great Lakes Community Broadcasting, Inc. files a petition for reconsideration with the FCC for 88.7A, licensed to Kinderhook Township, Michigan (near Angola).
Northcentral
Pat Redd exits as OM of Rock/WAOR (95.3fm, Niles, Michigan) for the Promotion Director gig at the Clear Channel stations in Albany, New York (WABT, WGY, WHRL, WRVE, and WXCR).
Central
Charlie Morgan, Interim VP/Market Manager for Susquehanna's Indianapolis properties (WFMS, WGLD, WGRL) removes the "Interim" from his title. Replacing Morgan as VP/GM at Oldies/WGLD is WGLD VP/Marketing Manager Jennifer Skjodt.
Westcentral
Rock/WZZQ(AM) (1230am, Terre Haute) flips calls to WBUZ(AM). Sister station WZZQ-FM retains its calls. They are still simulcasting.
Religious/WAPC (91.9fm, Terre Haute) is now running 6000 watts, up from 1000 watts.
The Family Worship Center translator application for 91.7fm in Shelburn is granted. The calls are W219CS-CP.
Southeast
Cox VP/GM Brent Millar exits. Among the Louisville, Kentucky stations he was in charge of is WSFR (107.7fm, Corydon)
Devin Marsh exits as PD of WIKI (95.3fm, Carrollton, Kentucky), WJCP (92.7fm, Austin) and WWWY (104.9fm, Columbus). New PD at WWWY is Gil Nalley, formerly of WKKG (101.5fm, Columbus) and WHKW (98.9fm, Salem) [Now WZTR].
An LPFM application by "Advanced Search and Rescue" for 107.3fm in the town of English has been filed.
Southcentral
Country/WMCB(AM) & WCBK-FM (1540am, 102.3fm, both Martinsville) add "Rise Up", a new syndicated show from SuperRadio. "Rise Up" is hosted by John Ritter, morning man at WRBQ in Tampa, Florida.
Southwest
Brill Media's CHR/WSTO (96.1fm, Owensboro, Kentucky) morning co-host Kami Boyd heads to South Central Communications' AC/WIKY (104.1fm, Evansville) to do mornings, solo.
Country/WRAY(AM) & FM (1250am, 98.1fm, both Princeton) add "Rise Up", a new syndicated show from SuperRadio. "Rise Up" is hosted by John Ritter, morning man at WRBQ in Tampa, Florida.
Family Worship Center Church appears to have W211BJ (90.1fm, Crossville, Illinois) on the air. They've filed for the License to Cover with the FCC. W211BJ simulcasts WJFM in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
