After over two decades of owning Lafayette radio stations, Artistic Media Partners sells their four radio stations to Lafayette TV, LLC for $2.3 million. Those radio stations are Sports/WSHY (1410am, Lafayette), CHR/WAZY (96.5fm, Lafayette), Adult Hits/WBPE (95.3fm, Brookston) and Country/WYCM (95.7fm, Attica). The Lafayette TV, LLC leadership: Bill Christian (CEO) and Mike Reed (President). Exclusive broker on the deal: Kalil & Co.

Lafayette TV, LLC also launched an LPTV: WPBI-LD (Channel 16, Lafayette) as a dual network affiliate. On Tuesday evening, WPBI-LD began their FOX programming with the World Series. WPBI-LD also airs NBC programming, on a separate digital subchannel. Before WPBI came aboard, Lafayette TV viewers would see FOX and NBC affiliates from Indianapolis or Chicago or Terre Haute, depending on where the viewer lives within the Lafayette TV DMA. The WPBI-LD antenna sits on the McCarty Lane tower of Neuhoff Media's WASK (1450am, Lafayette). Finally, the WPBI call letters stand for "Purdue Boilermakers Indiana."

Emmis Communications' Hot AC/WFNB (92.7fm, Brazil) will remember Matt Luecking on-air today from 3pm until 6pm.

The Elvis Duran in the Morning Show paid tribute to Matt Luecking on the air.

Here's information on Matt Luecking's visitation and funeral:

Visitation will be Friday October 28 between 3pm and 7pm at Colvin Funeral Home, 425 N. Main St., Princeton, IN 47670. Visitation will also be on Saturday October 29 from 11am until 2pm (Funeral to follow). Afterwards, family and friends will proceed to Maple Hill Cemetery, County Road 150 East, south of IN-64. Please remember that Princeton observes Central Daylight Time.

Mike Petersen remembers Matt Luecking: "Matt worked for Crossroads while I was there for several years. I really didn't know him that well personally, but he was a good employee. My best memory of him was how he handled the Wabash Valley's Got Talent show that we had for several years in Terre Haute. He did a masterful job as the MC. His on-air presence will be missed."

That's all for this issue. Thank you for your continued support.
