Indiana RadioWatch: November 17, 2001
Northwest
Two northwest Indiana stations went silent last week after a time-brokerage agreement expired. M&M Broadcasting's WXRD (103.9fm, Crown Point) and WZVN (107.1fm, Lowell) were being programmed by St. George Broadcasting (owners of
WIMS & WJOB). According to Robert Feder's column in The Chicago Sun-Times, St. George failed to reach an agreement with M&M on extending the agreement or buying the stations.
Eastcentral
Country/WMDH-FM (102.5fm, New Castle) adds Sherry Sinclair as morning co-host alongside PD Clint Marsh. Sinclair, who starts November 26, arrives from middays at WXFL in Florence, Alabama. She also worked at Country/WKOA (105.3fm,
Lafayette) in the mid-1990's.
Central
From the Corporate Desk: Emmis Communications/Radio President Doyle Rose will step down March 1, 2002. Emmis Exec. VP/Programming Rick Cummings will replace him. Cummings served as PD at Emmis' AC/WENS (97.1fm, Shelbyville) in the
1980's.
That's it for this issue. See you in a week!
