Let's recap what I know so far from Sunday's thunderstorms. Please let me know if I missed anything.

I happened to be in Indianapolis during the worst of it. I heavily tuned around both radio dials both during and after the storms. I found a few Indianapolis stations off the air (some commercial, some non-commercial), and I hope by now they are all back on the air. I heard Emmis simulcasting their N-T/WIBC (93.1fm, Indianapolis) on all their Indianapolis are radio stations. Back home in Fort Wayne, I heard from readers that several Fort Wayne radio stations were also temporarily silent.

An IRW opinion, if I may: When it comes to radio, content is still key. Being on the air matters more.

The studio building was damaged at DLC Media's Country/WAMW (1580am, Washington) and translator W240CE (95.9fm, Washington) and Classic Hits/WAMW-FM (107.9fm, Washington). I've assembled a few photos here, here, here, here, here and here.

With not much time lately, I'll touch upon a few stories here.

Northeast

LIN Media's CBS affiliate WANE-TV (Channel 15, Fort Wayne) adds Rob Lydick as weekend meteorologist. Mr. Lydick last was a meteorologist at WABI-TV in Bangor, Maine.

Where Are They Now? Former WOWO newsperson Jeremy Lawrence becomes the PD ("Brand Manager") at WKZO in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Northcentral

Educational Media Foundation's Religious/WQKV (88.7fm, Rochester) began broadcasting from their new transmitter site near Claypool. Before, WQKV was on the Bair Communications' Oldies/WROI (92.1fm, Rochester) tower, west of Rochester. With this, WQKV should receive FCC approval to change its City of License to Warsaw. This move also includes a power increase from 250 watts to 13,900 watts with a directional antenna.

Goshen College's AAA/WGCS (91.1fm, Goshen) earns Radio Station of the Year by the Indiana Broadcasters Association (IBA) during its 26th Annual Spectrum Awards. GM Jason Samuel says, "This is a significant accomplishment for the radio station. I don't think it has ever been done by any college radio station in the country." WGCS competed in 'market two' against two commercial radio stations: Federated Media's Hot AC/WMEE (97.3fm, Fort Wayne) and Emmis Communications' Country/WTHI-FM (99.9fm, Terre Haute). IBA Market Two comprises any stations in Evansville, Fort Wayne, Muncie, Lafayette, South Bend and Terre Haute.

Eastcentral

Hoosier AM/FM's Classic Rock/WXXC (106.9fm, Marion) flips format to Hot AC, as "Star 106.9." They have a Facebook, Twitter and a website. The current on-air lineup is Bob and Sheri in mornings, OM Vanessa Miller in middays, new Production Director and afternoon host Rick Daniels, and John Tesh at night. Mr. Daniels last programmed WQXQ in Central City, Kentucky.

Central

Creative Data Management's Talk simulcast WXLW (950am, Indianapolis) and Pilgrim Communications' WFDM-FM (95.9fm, Franklin) both add weather forecasts from Indianapolis weather group BAM Chase. Meteorologist Michael Clark will voice their forecasts.
