Station History
1490am signed on September 27, 1926. In the 1930's, WKBV (then licensed to Connersville) was on 1500am, broadcasting 100-150 watts. Owned in the 1930s by Knox Radio Corp. with studios
located in the Westcott Hotel, at the northeast corner of 10th and Main Streets in Richmond. Owned in the 1940s by Central Broadcasting Corp. with studios located at 25 S. Ninth
St., Richmond, IN 47374. In March 2013, WKBV added an FM translator (W266CE), but the translator didn't sign on until August 11, 2014.
