1540am signed on September 10, 1950. Norman Hall's Boonville Broadcasting Co. sold WBNL(AM) & FM to John P. Engelbrecht in October 1999.
Turpen Communications LLC purchased WBNL(AM) in May 2001. WBNL(AM) purchased and installed a new transmitter in Feburary 2002.
