Station History

WFTW(AM)

Studios located at the Lincoln Tower (116 East Berry Street, Fort Wayne). Studios moved to 220 E. Jefferson Street, Fort Wayne (Telephone: Anthony 2295). We think 1090am WFTW appeared briefly in the 1940s, then signed off. Owned by Fort Wayne Broadcasting, Inc.

The current 1090am iteration signed on June 17, 1968. Clarence C. Moore (Fort Wayne Broadcasting Co.) owned the radio station.

WFWR(AM)

In 1966, 1090am received a CP for 1kW - Directional Antenna - Day, Daytime only operation. Studios located at 424 Reed Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46805 (Telephone: 219.420.0446).

WFCV(AM)

WFCV's calls stand for "Fort [wayne's] Christian Voice." Studios formerly located at 909 Coliseum Blvd., North, Fort Wayne, IN 46805-5535.
