Station History

WCVL started on December 12, 1964 by Richard Lindsay. It was sold to John Sinclair in 1968. WCVL flipped to sports talk in February 2002. Ralph Miller, who helped to start WCVL, passed away on 7 March 2002. WCVL flipped format in October 2008, from standards to oldies. On April 13, 2016, translator W221CS 92.1fm signed on as a simulcast of WCVL(AM).
