Station History

WINL first applied for a radio station on 107.1fm, with 590 watts. On May 24, 1951, WINL applied for FM radio station CP, or construction permit. On July 31, 1951, the FCC granted a CP for WINL at 107.1fm with 590 watts at 85 feet. In 1952, WINL applied to the FCC to remain silent from December 13, 1952, 'pending financial reorganization'. The FCC approved that on December 18, 1952. Later owned by Radio Lebanon. On May 17, 1955, the FCC canceled the WINL license.
