Station History

WJFX signed on in April 1990. WJFX was sold by Louis Dinwiddie in October 1998 for $1.3 million. The station flipped formats to a more upbeat urban sound as "Hot 107.9" on 22 January 1999. Until 2008, WJFX was located at 5936 E. State Boulevard, Fort Wayne, IN 46815-7637 (Phone: 260.493.9239). Moved in July 2010 from 2100 Goshen Road, Suite 232, Fort Wayne, IN 46808-1478. In February 2014, Fort Wayne Radio Corp. announced it was selling WJFX, along with sister stations WBTU and WHPP to Adams Radio Group, Inc. for $3.5 million (total).
