Station History

WBIW(AM) signed on in October 1948. It was originally owned by Carl Finger, Bill Smith, and Harold Rothrock. The station originally broadcasted out of a building that belonged to Carl Finger. Owned by Radio Bedford, Inc. The Bedford Broadcasting Corporation once owned WBIW and sister WBIF, now WQRK. In January 1989, Mid-America Radio Group, Inc. announced the $1 million sale of WBIW(AM) and WQRK to Ad-Venture Media, Inc.
