Station History


1540am signed on May 22, 1964. Formerly WADM. Sold in December 2005 for $35,000 by Wells County Radio Corp. to Holden Broadcasting, Inc. In late 2005, the format changed from a simulcast of former sister Adult Contemporary station WNUY to Classic Country. In September 2007, Holden Broadcasting, Inc. sold WADM for $110,000 to Lewis Broadcasting LLC.


Under Lewis Broadcasting LLC, WADM flipped format from country to jazz at Noon on Friday December 9, 2011. The call letters also changed to WJZI.
