95.9fm signed on December 15, 1961.

WIFN-FM

WIFN ran 790 watts at 115 feet. Originally owned by Howard B. Phillips. In October 1965, Howard B. Phillips sold WIFN-FM to Voice of Johnson County, Inc. In August 1971, Voice of Johnson County, Inc. sold WIFN-FM to Vogel Douglas Corp. Top 40 format. Later aired a Middle of the Road (MOR) format. In mid-January 1983, Vogel Douglas Corp. sold WIFN to Franklin Broadcasting, Inc. WIFN-FM became WGAQ-FM in 1983.

WGAQ-FM

Owned by Franklin Broadcasting, Inc. Adult Contemporary format. WGAQ-FM became WPZZ-FM in 1987.

WPZZ-FM

Owned by Franklin Broadcasting, Inc. with studios at 4760 Kingsway Dr., Indianapolis, IN 46205 (Telephone: 317.257.8928). Urban contemporary format. In July 1988, Franklin Broadcasting, Inc. sold WPZZ-FM to FM 96 Corp. Under FM 96 Corp., WPZZ-FM had studios at 4475 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46205 (Telephone: 317.542.9690). Inspirational format. Studios later moved to 645 Industrial Drive, Franklin, IN 46131-9617 (Telephone: 317.542.9690). Studios moved again to 2021 E. 52nd St., Suite 106, Indianapolis, IN 46205 (Telephone: 317.255.4569). In August 1997, FM 96 Corp. sold WPZZ-FM for $1.5 million to Al-Grim Broadcasting, Inc. Studios moved within 2021 E. 52nd St., to Suite 219. In July 1999, Al-Grim Broadcasting, Inc. sold WPZZ to Pilgrim Communications, LLC. Studios moved back to 645 Industrial Drive, Franklin, IN 46131-9617 (Telephone: 317.736.4040). Pilgrim flipped formats to Business Talk (http://www.959thepoint.com) in September 2000. After the demise of WXIR in May 2003, WPZZ flipped formats on July 1, 2003 from Business Talk to Religious (Christian AC) as "Joy 96." WPZZ then became WIJY.

WIJY-FM

Owned by Pilgrim Communications, LLC with studios located at 645 Industrial Drive, Franklin, IN 46131-9617 (Telephone: 317.736.4040). After the demise of religious station WXIR, WPZZ changed formats on July 1, 2003 from News/Talk to Religious (Christian AC) as "Joy 96." The call letters were subsequently changed to WIJY. On September 21, 2005, the station flipped formats to Oldies, as "Gold 95.9." Network affiliates of both Salem Radio Networks ("Today's Christian Music") and USA Network News.

WIAU-FM

Owned by Pilgrim Communications, LLC with studios located at 645 Industrial Drive, Franklin, IN 46131-9617 (Telephone: 317.736.4040). Affiliated with Tom Kent's TKO Radio Network. WIAU's URL was http://www.gold959.com. On September 21, 2005, the station flipped formats to Oldies, as "Gold 95.9." The WIAU call letters are because "AU" is the chemical symbol for "Gold" and the format and moniker were a nod to radio station 104.5fm when it was oldies, as "Gold 104.5."
