1460am signed on January 8, 1955.

WOCH(AM)

Dorrell Ochs built the station (hence why it had the WOCH call letters). The original radio studio was in North Vernon, behind Ochs Audio Supply on East Walnut Street. Mr. Ochs also owned WOCH-FM.

WINN(AM)

WNVI(AM) (Take 1)

Owned by ARS Broadcasting Corp. with a MOR (Satellite Music Network) format. Studios located at 5775 N. State Road 7, Scipio, IN 47273 (Telephone: 812.392.2710).

WKRP(AM)

In 1997, ARS Broadcasting Corp. sold their trio of radio stations (WRBI, WKRP and WINN-FM for $1.9 million to Findlay Publishing Co.

WNVI(AM) (Take 2)

In 2003, WNVI dropped standards and flipped formats to sports, as "ESPN 1460." Findlay Publishing later sold 1460am to Pieratt Communications, Inc. in a swap for WWWY-FM. After the sale closed, WNVI ended its simulcsat with WCSI and flipped to adult standards. When owned by Pieratt Communications the studios were located at 3212 Washington Street, Columbus, IN 47203-1505 (Telephone: 812.392.2710). WNVI changed call letters to WJCP in May 2006.

WJCP(AM)

In 2006, WNVI became WJCP(AM). The call letters stand for "Jennings County Panthers" (the local high school nickname). On May 9, 2016, WJCP added FM translator W249DG.
