WOKZ-FM

In September 1991, WERK, Inc. sold WOKZ-FM (and WERK(AM) for $625,000 to American Home Town Radio Corp.

WERK-FM

Sabre Communications purchased all of the properties (WHTI (nee WAXT), WHTY (nee WWWO), WERK, WURK, (nee WLHN-FM) and WHBU) from Michael Schwartz' Indiana Radio Partners in July 2001 for $8 million total. In Decmeber 2002, Backyard Broadcasting purchased WERK along with all of its sister stations from Sabre Communications, Inc. WURK was a WERK simulcast until Backyard Broadcasting sold it. Backyard Broadcasting sold all of their Muncie radio stations in April 2013 for $4.45 million to Woof Boom Radio.
